Turmeric and Black Pepper Wild Sprouted Pili nuts are simply phenomenal. Both our turmeric and black pepper are sourced from organic farms in the Philippines, near the site where we process all of our raw pili nuts. It might be easier to buy our spices from conventional farmers in other parts of the world, but that wouldn’t be true to our commitment to the local economy and environment.

However, the component of turmeric that yields the most health benefits, curcumin, is often difficult for the human body to process. Luckily, black pepper contains a high concentration of the compound piperine, which eases the body's absorption of curcumin. Together, black pepper and turmeric provide a powerful combination that turns the pili nut into a natural super-pill of essential nutrients .
All of our pili nuts are wild harvested by hand from the Filipino rainforest, placing minimal strain on natural resources and providing local communities with an incentive to preserve the health of their wild spaces. After harvest, the nuts are then sprouted and activated through a soak in salt water and dehydration. The activation process breaks down the phytic acid and enzyme inhibitors contained within raw pili nuts, allowing the body to access the nutrients inside much more easily. The result is a super-nut with a rich buttery taste, containing a huge range of essential vitamins and minerals such as magnesium, manganese, and Vitamin B1, and the highest fat and lowest carbohydrate content of any nut.
